Jade Henderson is a fashion merchandising major at Brenau University. She is a girl who loves fashion and natural hair. One day she would love to have her own boutique or tailor company. Mane Style: How long have you been natural?

Jade: I have been natural since August 2012. That's when I started to transition.

MS: What are your go-to hairstyles?

J: My go-to hairstyles currently are twistouts, braidouts and Bantu Knots.

MS: Do you have any holy-grail hair products?

J: Finding a holy grail hair product has been very difficult for me. Being that I'm still trying to find what my hair likes and dislikes. As of right now a holy grail product would be this Shea Butter whip. This Shea butter whip is something I actually made. It consist of 100% natural Shea butter, coconut oil and grapeseed oil. You can use any oils you would like to. However this has transform my hair and made a big difference in locking in all my moisture. I have been using this for a few weeks now.

MS: Describe your personal style?

J: My personal style is causal chic.

MS: What clothing store(s) could we find you in, mostly?

J: My favorite stores to shop in are Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross. Being that I like to find deals, especially on great quality items.

MS: If you couldn’t live without one thing in your closet what would it be?

J: I couldn't live without the everyday basics. For example a basic cami or a basic turtleneck. Those are items that bring together my entire outfit majority of the time.

MS: Does your outfit for the day reflect how you wear your hair? Or vice versa?

J: Most of the time my hair reflects my outfit. On the other-hand it's great being natural because majority of the time natural hair is so bomb it goes with any outfit. Lol

MS: I see that you have your own YouTube channel. What was your inspiration behind starting your channel?

J: My inspiration behind my YouTube channel was from watching so many other girls my age make hair tutorials. So learning from them and incorporating my own regimen, I thought I could teach or show other people what I do to achieve my hairstyle. Especially when I'm out somewhere I get asked questions on how I did my hair. So it's very convenient to tell them to go to my YouTube channel.
